protecting your family from the flu this season

TwitterMoms and our friends at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have teamed up together and asked Bloggers to spead the word about ways to help protect our families from the flu this season!
You can read more about this request here

Did you know:

everyone 6 months of age and older is recommended to be vaccinated against the flu

The flu vaccine provides protection that lasts through the flu season

The flu vaccine is updated each season to protect against the three flu viruses that research indicates will cause the most illness

You need to get the 2010-11 seasonal flu vaccine even if you got the 2009 H1N1 flu vaccine last season

If you or your kids do not like shots, the flu vaccine is also available in mist form. For more information on this, ask your doctor or visit here

The flu vaccine is best way to protect yourself from the flu!!!!!!!!

Not only will the Flu Vaccine protect you from being sick,it helps avoid unnecessary pay decreases from having to call off work, more medical bills from having to go see a Dr,.keeping our children home from school, and many more problems.Having to stay stuck in bed away from the family can be so depressing, especialy if your your the one who does the cooking, cleaning and laundry. It can be a big set-back.Then everyone suffers.

Here is a great resource from the CDC for flu information read here
Please help our families stay healthy by making sure your protected with the Flu Vaccine,it will pay off!!!

I wrote this blog post while participating in a TwitterMoms blogging program for which I may receive a small thank you (valued at less than $20) For more information on how you can participate click here
