10 Holiday Planning Tips

Christmas is right around the corner,are you ready? I feel like Christmas just ended from last year and now it's back again!Time flies by so fast but if your prepared it should be easy,I have some tips I'd love to share with you that I use as a plan yearly.Hopefully Christmas this year will be a year to never forget!

The holidays are the most busy times of the year with so many demands to meet and with so little time.I have to admit that I use to be the most procrastinating person on this planet!! I finally learned and excepted the fact that it's alot better and easier for me and everyone else to be on time with everything.Thanks to my favorite aunt giving me all the tips I'd like to share with you, I have mastered the holiday madness!!

Plan ahead- Don't wait until the last minute to complete all your shopping,know who your shopping for by making a list ahead of time.
Always shop at the end of each season for the following year- Near the end of each season the stores want to stock up on the next seasons items as soon as possible so they place a lot of sales to get the new items out on the floor.Clearance racks will be everywhere so take advantage!!
Couponing- To maximise your savings,plan 1-2 hrs each week to clip and cut coupons.Using coupons on clearance items will make a huge savings in your pocket.Know your store coupon policies!
Black Friday-- If possible leave the kids with a babysitter that you trust on the day you go shopping,we all know how hard and irritating it can be when the kids are winning,hungry,tired and just not listening.If you have to take the kids make sure they eat and nap before your shopping trip and take toys and snacks along.You will thank me!!

Make it all about loving and caring- Christmas isn't just about giving.Its a time for love,happiness and joy.If you cant afford to gift,especially during a time like this don't feel bad,enjoy the family and love one another.Share stories and laugh together.
Do NOT wait until the night before to wrap presents- I dread wrapping presents,I enjoy unwrapping but wrapping is just so irritating to me because i just cant seem to wrap the gift without a part of the gift sticking out in the corners,I'm horrible with wrapping.Wrap a few weeks ahead of time so you can wrap 2-3 at a time.It will be so much easier this way.
Gift Swaps- My family is so large that it would cost an arm and a leg to shop for everyone,at least 4 months before Christmas we have a name of a swap buddy to shop for.It saves a lot of money and time.
Layaway- Plan a layaway early in the year,as items go on clearance most stores automatically reduce your layaway items down the same.Check with your store to make sure.
Choose a chore for everyone- At the end of our family get together its a big mess!! We all assign a clean up job for each person and it saves so much time.

The Hopscotch Hands on Exhibit for the Blind

Marelle is a well known, and highly respected artist in the North East.She has been a professional artist for over 25 years. She is the founder of The Hopscotch Hands on Exhibit for the Blind.

The Hopscotch Hands on Exhibit for the blind is a tactile touch art exhibit of 3d celebrity portraits for the blind to view by touch.It's a wonderful way for the blind to view portraits of their favorite celebrities and historical figures.

Marelle has a hope to add more portraits to the exhibit and to take it to more blind conventions,her plan is to take this exhibit to the yearly blind conventions in other states and to attend the National convention next year.
