How I Keep My Family Healthy #FarmRichSnacks

How I Keep My Family Happy

SocialMoms and Farm Rich has teamed up together and requested to share about how I keep my family happy with a fun new blogging program, you can read more about this request here !!

With having 2 teenagers and 2 elementary age children It can be hard at times to keep them all happy at one time.Chucky Cheese is a drag to the teenagers and the mall is to time consuming to the younger one's!Over the years I have learned so many ways to keep everyone happy and it gets easier and easier. It's the little things we do together that matters the most. It's the cute notes with smiley faces and a message they read when opening up their lunch boxes or under their pillows at night when it's time for bed.Sometimes we will all have a beauty makeover togehter or go for a massage! The movies is a place my teens hang out at so during those hours the teens are away I play dress up with my youngest daughter or school with my youngest son.At night when the teens are up we have pillow fights or watch movies together and eat popcorn.Camping is a big thing to us,we love sitting around the fire making smores.Cook outs in the summer are alot of fun,we also round up all our clothes and things we no longer need or want to sell at our yard sale. It's alot of fun because we sell lemon aide and hot dogs for spending money!

So I pretty much keep up with what I call "QT"with my family to keep them happy.Quality Time is so important and can be so much fun. They love when I make them smile and surprise them with outings.

Please feel free to share how you keep your family happy by commenting below!

My Favorite Thing About Easter

My Favorite Thing About Easter

SocialMoms and Universal Pictures have teamed up to introduce a fun, new blogging program and asked me to share with you about what is my favorite thing about Easter. You can read more about this request here

Easter was always one of my favorite holidays since I was a little girl.My Mother would take my sisters and I out shopping for our Easter clothes about a month before Easter. We would choose beautiful, fancy dresses with the silk lace beaded designs. We would get the cute white bonnet hats with a matching little purse. The shoes we would pick out were the black shinny one's with the square heel and a bow.Our bobby socks would have the pretty satin lace.My Mother would paint our nails a light pink color and curl our hair all the same way.I would feel like a Princess.Did I mention the cute Shaw's we would wear over our shoulders?Wow,I just knew we all looked so pretty!

Mother would line us all up together to take our pictures with our little legs crossed. We were all given a dollar bill to put into our little purses.Easter was such a good day year after year.I can't wait in till next month on Easter Day to dress my kids up!!I love to watch their faces when they come down stairs in the morning looking for their Easter baskets. My Grandmom made all our Easter baskets and I passed them down to my kids.Everytime I think about those days when I was a little girl I smile like a kid all over again!

My family and I also attend Sunday Church service Easter morning following a delicious meal cooked by different members of our Church.I remember my Mother would be so worried that the food would be down our dresses and be ruined.Only once it was my youngest sister who dropped a piece of ham down her dress,it was only a light mark but my Mother looked at her and said "I'm so thankful today that, I can't use the positive energy to be mad,no point in getting upset!"I just love Easter, the memories I have are memories that are so special to me.I find myself doing the same on Easter as my Mother did with us.Year after year on Easter I tell my kids about those days!! It's such a wonderful feeling I feel when I share stories with my children.

Please feel free to share your favorite thing about Easter by commenting below!

About Hop:

Blending state of the art animation with live action, Hop is a comedy about E.B. (voiced by Russell Brand), the teenage son of the Easter Bunny. On the eve of taking over the family business, E.B. leaves for Hollywood in pursuit of his dream of becoming a drummer. Once there, he encounters Fred (James Marsden of the X-Men series, Enchanted), recently fired and determined to pull his life together. Feigning injury, E.B. persuades Fred to take him in, and Fred finds himself living with the world’s worst houseguest. Back on Easter Island, the Easter Bunny’s second in command, an oversized chick named Carlos, seizes E.B.’s disappearance as an opportunity to plot a coup. Ultimately, Fred and E.B. are Easter’s only hope and they find themselves returning to Easter Island, locked in an epic battle to save the beloved holiday. The film is helmed by Tim Hill, director of the blockbuster Alvin and the Chipmunks and produced by Chris Meledandri’s Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me).

Have You thredUP Lately??

Recycle your kids outgrown clothing with thredUP!!!!!!

Once my kids grow out of their clothing I recycle them, more like swap them.
You should check out thredUP it's a fantastic site where you swap your clothes through the mail (kinda like Netflix).

You will save the drive to the clothing store and you're exchanging items you no longer want with someone who no longer wants theirs, therefore recycling and reusing! you can set preferences for use, size, brand and season of the clothing you want. It'a FREE to join.

The best part about this site is thredUP decided to partner with various retailers (a new one each month) to provide the thredUP community with special boxes of brand new items from different retailers that you can choose from.

Last week I recieved my box with like 5 Ralph Luaren shirts for my toddler,Gap jeans, and many other brands.Check it out to see if you like it.
each box contains about 15 items!!!!  -- it's sent directly to your home

Browse boxes of kids clothes and toys from our mom community across the USA

At thredUP we are committed to helping you exchange fantastic pre-loved clothes and toys. Real world clothing swaps are time consuming and hard to organize. We’ve created one for you that’s always available and always being updated with new listings from parents just like you.

•Navigate our listings similar to surfing eBay, iTunes or Amazon. Sort by gender, size, brand, season or type of item

•Find baby, toddler, or pre-teen clothing, and toys for all ages

•Pay $5 + shipping ($10.95) and it's yours

•Get your box sent directly to your doorstep by the parent who listed it

•Add listers to your Favorite Senders list and filter search results to view only boxes that your favorite senders have listed

•View community ratings to ensure high quality items and picking boxes with confidence

 $5 + $10.95 Shipping –

one price for one great box

All you'll ever pay for basic swapping is $5 + ($10.95) shipping per box of kids clothes. At more than ten items per box, that's like $1.50 per item. No hidden charges. No recurring fees. You can decide at anytime to stop swapping clothes.

When you select a box, simply pay $5 + shipping and it's yours. If you want, you can add money to your account for several boxes at once and then pick them at your leisure
