Walgreens Prescription Savings
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
SocialSpark and Walgreens has teamed up together and asked me to share with my readers about the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club.
Many of us are in love with the convenient 24 hour drive-thru Walgreens provides especially when the locations are close to our neighborhoods saving us on gas. I love to go to Walgreens for my prescriptions,I love their customer service as well. Walgreens tried to negotiate with Express Scripts to come up with a new contract to continue as part of it's Pharmacy Provider Network but it didn't work out. As of January 1,2012 Walgreens is no longer part of Express Scripts Pharmacy Provider Network. Unfortunately this change includes all Walgreens Pharmacies nationwide and Duane Reade Pharmacies in the New York area. Express Scripts's actions are causing disruption with no significant benefit to patients or their health plan. This change has caused many pharmacy patients to go elsewhere to use their benefits who were covered by Walgreens and Express Script. Having to change pharmacies and driving further to another pharmacy can be such a burden and cause many to be upset.
To find out if you are effected by this change, please check the back of your prescription insurance card. If it says Express Scripts on there, you may ask your Walgreens pharmacist if you are directly effected and how they can help you through this change.
Walgreens is trying to help by offering a special discount on annual membership for it's Walgreens Prescription Savings Club For $10 a year a family membership will cover everyone in your immediate family, spouse, dependents under 22 and pets. Individuals may join for only $5. Join and receive discounts on your prescriptions. The Walgreens Prescription Savings Club Membership offers you savings on over 8,000 brand name and generic medications.

Healthy Snacking Tips
Healthy Snacking Tips
SocialMoms and Snyder's of Hanover has teamed up together and asked me to share with my readers a delicious recipe including pretzels as an ingredient and my healthy snacking tips, you can read more about this request here.
A great recipe that I came across and have tried myself is the Snyder's of Hanover Pretzel Crust Key Lime Pie! It's delicious and it includes Hanover's Pretzels!
Snyder's of Hanover Pretzel Crust Key Lime Pie
Pie Crust:
5 oz. miniature pretzels
3 T. sugar
1 stick butter, melted
Filling:
7 large egg yolks
2 (14-oz.) cans sweetened condensed milk
1 c. key lime juice (fresh or bottled)
Topping:
Coconut
Lime slice
Whipped cream, if desired
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
For crust, place pretzels in a food processor and pulse until pretzels have become fine crumbs. Transfer to a bowl and add sugar and melted butter. Stir to combine.
Press crumb mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9" pie plate. Distribute evenly.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.
For filling, combine egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, and key lime juice. Whisk until well incorporated. Pour into cooled pie crust.
Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes. Center will still be slightly jiggly when taken out of oven and edges will JUST be beginning to brown. You don't want them to actually brown, so once you see signs of browning, remove from oven.
Cool on wire rack and then refrigerate for at least 6 hours before serving.
Garnish with a slice of lime and sprinkle coconut around edges
Whala! Your done! What a great tasting snack you will have!!Enjoy this with your family,It will make many smiles at the dinner table!!
Now for some of my healthy snacking tips:
- Use as less sugar as possible
- The more colorful your snacks are the best
- When you use a smaller plate you will feel full quicker
- Always try to stick to whole wheat products
- Never snack after 7pm,,or 3 hours before bedtime
- Always chew slowly
- Drink a sip of water between each bite
I hope my tips help you,I'd love to read some more tips! Please feel free to comment with some of your tips or recipes with using Hanover Pretzels!
About Snyder’s of Hanover
Our tradition of good taste dates back to 1909 when Harry V. Warehime, founder of Hanover Canning Company, our parent company until 1980, began producing Olde Tyme Pretzels for the Hanover Pretzel Company. In 1963, the Bechtel Pretzel Company, founded by Bill and Helen Bechtel in 1947, was purchased and incorporated into Snyder’s Bakery. Bill developed the original recipe for the Sourdough Hard Pretzel that is still enjoyed by consumers today. More info on Snyder’s of Hanover
